To play sports outside, you can find multi-use fields for soccer, football, baseball, softball and basketball at the Chester A. Davis Sportsplex located on Hwy 96 where there are three pavilions for organized sports as well as two playgrounds for the kids. Countryside Park offers the same amenities as the Sportsplex in addition to a nature/fitness trail. The Dr. Ned and Fay Dudney Clear Creek Nature Center is a soothing place to get back to nature on the trails and bird viewing areas. A huge city pool is available to residents during the summer and is located on West Walker.

For summertime fun, League City has a weekly performance at the League Park Plaza on Saturday nights from 7 to 9 pm. Big bands, country, bluegrass and rock music are offered where League City apartment residents can bring a blanket, chairs and a cooler to enjoy the sounds. There are even a couple of movie nights in the park that start at 7:30 pm.

When your day or week requires a getaway into a good novel, the Helen Hall Library offers 29,000 square feet of books, DVDs and audio books galore. The library, with a children's wing and an adult wing is located on West Walker Street.
If you're visiting the library for school research, maybe that's because you're attending San Jacinto College or the College of the Mainland, both in League City. Any children will attend school in the Clear Creek Independent School District or one of the private schools, Bay Area Christian School or St. Mary's Catholic School.

For a shopping and eating adventure of a day, visit the South Shore Harbour resort area to visit all kinds of fabulous restaurants and stores with all kinds of treasures. The Main Street area of downtown is made up of historic homes that have been transformed into quaint shops and restaurants. For traditional shopping stop by Baybrook Mall, where you can shop for your League City apartment decor at Williams Sonoma, and for yourself at a huge assortment of clothing, shoes and accessories.
